North Carolina reads the 2020 book
The North Carolina examinations are open book on the 2020 National Electrical Code, and the state enforces the 2020 edition with its own amendments. This page holds no table values, but the sections it names are the 2026 numbers, so check them against your own 2020 copy.
Grounding and bonding is still Article 250 in both editions, so 250.50, 250.52, 250.53, 250.66, 250.68 and Table 250.122 carry the same numbers in a 2023 book. What we hold on the moves compares the 2026 edition with the 2023 one, and the record does not reach a 2020 book, so it cannot tell you what any of these numbers is in the edition North Carolina tests on. Look each one up in your own copy.

Grounding reaches earth. Bonding reaches metal. The reason the pair is worth this much attention is that the code names several bonding parts after grounding, so the word on the label is the least reliable clue you have.
